The European Leadership Network (ELNET) was established in 2007 by American and European visionaries who were committed to forming a proactive, independent, high-level network to strengthen Israel-Europe relations. ELNET’s mission is to broaden and deepen ties between Israel and European nations based on shared democratic values and strategic interests. ELNET has become the most influential pro-Israel advocacy organization in Europe, with offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the UK, Israel, and with guidance and funding from the US. Founded at a time when Europe seemed to be turning decisively against Israel, ELNET’s impact is reflected in the shifting trajectory of European diplomacy.
We are at a pivotal moment in history. Europe’s concerns about Russia, China and Iran – in addition to Iran’s proxy war with Israel via Hamas and Hezbollah – have elevated the importance of a strong Europe-Israel alliance.
