He brings with him more than two decades of experience in management, politics, academia, and professional advocacy.
Dr. Navon has taught at Tel Aviv University, Reichman University and the IDF’s National Security College. His latest book The Star and the Scepter: A Diplomatic History of Israel is a definitive study of Israel’s international relations. Previously, he was a consultant for Arttic Israel, focused on securing European funding and partnerships for Israeli R&D; CEO of BNIC, a nonprofit dedicated to training business leaders on pro-Israel advocacy in Europe; and founding partner of a consulting group promoting Israeli agriculture and energy projects in Africa.
A native of France, Navon is fluent in English, Hebrew, and French and is conversant in German and Italian. Navon holds a BA in Government Affairs from Sciences-Po Paris and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Dr. Navon stated: “I have worked with ELNET for years as keynote speaker for incoming delegations and strategic dialogues and I am familiar with its invaluable work and incredible team. As CEO of ELNET Israel, I intend to build on past successes; develop strong relationships with European leaders; leverage the opportunities created by the Zeitenwende and Abraham Accords to strengthen Israel’s relations with Europe; and further develop financial resources.”
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Emmanuel Navon as CEO of ELNET Israel,” said Andrew Hochberg, Board Chair of ELNET Israel. “Navon’s experience, multicultural background and subject knowledge will allow ELNET Israel to further enhance its programs at a very critical time in Europe-Israel relations.”
FELNET President David Siegel said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dr. Emmanuel Navon for several years. He is an extraordinary leader and practitioner, with a strong commitment to the core mission of ELNET, including strengthening Israel’s relations with Europe, expanding the Abraham Accords, countering the Iranian threat, and defending Israel’s legitimacy in the fight against global antisemitism and anti-Zionism. I have every confidence in his success at this critical juncture.”
ELNET is dedicated to strengthening relations between Europe and Israel based on shared democratic values and strategic interests. To that end, ELNET has established a powerful network across Europe, and offers a broad menu of programs, including high-level delegations to Israel and strategic dialogues to facilitate in-depth discussions and experience reality on the ground.
