Policy Conferences

ELNET works to educate policymakers and opinion leaders about the complexity of global and regional issues, foster key ties between European and Israeli leaders, and empower political advocates of the Europe-Israel relationship.

ELNET International Policy Conference - EIPC

At the forefront of such educational programing is the ELNET International Policy Conference (EIPC). This annual conference brings together experienced policymakers and experts from key European countries and Israel, as well as select speakers from the United States and Arab countries, to engage in a frank and open dialogue and address important policy areas of key interest to Europe and Israel. With some 70 speakers, including senior political figures, as well as leading public opinion makers, and 500 influential participants, the EIPC provides an important platform for discussing the shaping of Europe’s Middle East policy and Europe-Israel relations.

The goal of EIPC is to stimulate joint European-Israeli collaboration on issues of key strategic importance, expand the bilateral relationship to include new topics of cooperation, share success stories, challenges, and experiences to the benefit of both Europe and Israel, and build a community of policymakers, opinion leaders, experts, and professionals who work towards strengthening the Europe-Israel relations.

In May 2023 the overarching theme of the EIPC was “A New Era in Europe-Israel Relations”, with tailored sessions that specifically tackled policy areas such as new security challenges, the Ukraine war and its aftermath, Israeli-Arab normalization, the Russian threat, the Iranian threat, energy and food security, climate change, Israel-related antisemitism and delegitimization of Israel, and more.
