ELNET leads diplomatic campaign for Warsaw Ghetto Uprising 80th Anniversary

Polish and Israeli diplomats around the world came together to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. ELNET-Poland led to their inclusion by inviting the Foreign Ministries of both Poland and Israel to join the Daffodil Campaign of the POLIN Museum.

Thanks to ELNET’s initiative, over 100 Polish and Israeli ambassadors across the globe shared pictures of them together holding up the yellow daffodil in commemoration of the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

This year’s anniversary is also historic as it was President Isaac Herzog’s first official visit to Poland after several years of chilled ties. ELNET has played a major role in bridging the Poland-Israel relations, including through its war trauma prevention program for Ukraine refugees, bringing to Israel the first-ever delegation of Members of Polish Parliament from the Polish-Israel Parliamentary Friendship Group to Israel, and now leading the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Daffodil Campaign between the Polish and Israeli ministries of foreign affairs.
