A Message from the FELNET Chairman
We are delighted to report the complete success of the recent ELNET International Policy Conference (EIPC) held in Paris.
There were well over 150 attendees from all over Europe, Israel and the USA. The presentations were first rate and direct involvement in the sessions by those in the audience was constructive and energetic. Presenting at EIPC were distinguished ministers, academics, and policy makers from across the globe, including, such renowned speakers as Irwin Cotler, Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada; Emeritus Professor of Law, McGill University; Dr. Kenneth R. Weinstein, President and CEO, Hudson Institute; Minister Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy and Finance of France; Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowska President, Centre for International Relations; Brig. Gen. (ret.) Michael Herzog, International Fellow, Washington Institute for Near East Policy; and many others.
The overwhelming positive response of our participants clearly shows the importance and need for future ELNET International Policy Conferences. The future for such conferences is bright. We are very proud and excited by the feedback we’ve received from some of our most notable participants, including Amos Gilead, Elliot Abrams, and others who have expressed enthusiasm in participating again at future ELNET conferences. Plans are already underway for the 2019 ELNET International Policy Conference!
I extend my personal thanks to the professional leadership that ensured this historic ground breaking event.
It is clear at this point that Europe and Israel are increasingly interested in developing closer ties. That remains the goal of ELNET and we are proud of the part we have played in building these relationships over the past 10 years.
You can view photos from our inaugural Conference on the newly upgraded ELNET website. As always we are available to answer inquiries and welcome your participation in our work.
With best regards,
