It is with great pleasure that Friends of ELNET welcomes Siamak “Sia” Kordestani to the FELNET team as the West Coast Director.
Siamak has an extensive background working in the American Jewish community with a focus on issues related to Israel and antisemitism. From 2014 to 2020, he was the Assistant Director of the American Jewish Committee’s Los Angeles Regional Office, where he worked on international diplomacy, legislative affairs, communications, donor relations, and leadership development.
Siamak also has an impressive background in the U.S. political scene, having served from 2011 to 2014 as a Senior Legislative Assistant to Congressman Brad Sherman in Washington, D.C. Siamak advised and supported the Congressman on foreign policy, trade, labor, immigration, and energy. Before that, Siamak was a Staff Associate in the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
“We are thrilled to have Siamak onboard the FELNET team. With his decade of successful experience in foreign policy, communications, and leadership development and his deep ties to the American Jewish community, FELNET is poised for growth on the West Coast and beyond,” said David Siegel, FELNET President and former Israeli Consul General in the Southwest United States.
Siamak’s enthusiasm for our mission – combined with his extensive experience – make him an excellent addition to our team. We look forward to robust growth in our West Coast region with Siamak on board.
