Times of Israel: Muslim-majority Kosovo wants ‘strategic partnership’ with Israel — former PM

This week a delegation of Kosovan Members of Parliament visited Israel at the invitation of the Knesset. The delegation was headed by the Former Prime Minister of Kosovo and Chair of the Kosovo-Israel Friendship Group Avdullah Hoti, the Former Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, and additional Members of Parliament in the Friendship Group.

ELNET was honored to organize several meetings with the Kosovan Members of Parliament, including with the Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi, as well as with Dr. Eran Lerman from JISS – Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security.

Kosovo is becoming an increasingly important friend of Israel’s. Just a few days ago it adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism, becoming the 31st European country to do so. It is also the first European country to open it’s embassy in Jerusalem.

 

The Times of Israel sat down with MP Avdullah Hoti during his visit to discuss the desire for stronger Kosovo-Israel relations, mentioning ELNET in the article.
