ELNET Responds to the Coronavirus Outbreak

As the crisis over the coronavirus (COVID19) intensifies, ELNET is monitoring the developing situation with increasing concern while working to navigate the uncertain international environment.

While the spread of the coronavirus will no doubt disrupt some of ELNET’s planned activities, we are pursuing creative approaches to strengthen our critical mission of deepening Israel’s relations with Europe. ELNET plans to continue its educational programs by utilizing new technologies and innovative solutions aimed at connecting Israeli leaders and decision-makers with their European counterparts.

Our professional teams in Europe and Israel are already reaching out to key stakeholders in governments, parliaments, research institutes and partner organizations to explore new approaches to bilateral cooperation, including video conferences, expert briefings, online exchanges and interviews, as well as virtual delegations and strategic dialogues.

ELNET will expand its remote and virtual technologies to be better equipped for an uncertain future. Global challenges, such as the coronavirus, underscore the critical importance of strong Israel-Europe ties as Israeli scientists work side-by-side with their European counterparts in the race to develop vaccines and innovative therapies.
