A potential invasion of Ukraine by Russia is an imminent threat to the world order steered by the U.S. by an unprecedented anti-West alliance between Russia and China. The heightened tensions are further drawing Washington’s attention away from the Middle East, to Israel’s detriment. Yet the crisis also breeds potential opportunities for the Middle East region.
“Europe is beginning to change, as is its attitude toward Israel and the Middle East. The new peace agreements present Israel as a gateway to the Middle East rather than as a barrier,” Shai Bazak, ELNET’s CEO in Israel, writes in his recent opinion editorial for the Jerusalem Post.
The Forum of Strategic Dialogue and ELNET held the Second Trilateral U.S.-Europe-Israel Strategic Dialogue in partnership with Hudson Institute. The Dialogue covered key policy issues in the U.S.-Europe-Israel triangle.
This June, ELNET EU & NATO was a partner of the Brussels Forum for the fourth year in a row. Under this year’s theme, “A World Disrupted,” the agenda tackled new geopolitical challenges, democracies under distress, climate change and the changing transatlantic relationship.
