German-Israeli Network of Startups & Mittelstand Launches Ambassadors’ Initiative

At the end of 2020, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of German-Israeli relations, ELNET Germany initiated the German Israeli Network of Startups & Mittelstand (GINSUM). The project is supported by numerous renowned partners and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The program will focus on developing linkages between Israeli startups and German medium-sized as well as municipal companies. GINSUM aims to reduce existing deficits in the area of digitization in Germany and to release significant synergies in cooperation with Israel.

GINSUM is supported by a voluntary network of more than 50 German and Israeli ambassadors. The individual profiles can be found on the website and the ambassadors can be contacted directly.

Carsten Ovens, Executive Director of ELNET Germany and Head of GINSUM on the new ambassadors’ network: “The German-Israeli friendship is shaped by the commitment of many outstanding personalities. The GINSUM ambassadors contribute to the further development of economic relationships with their expertise and their commitment. They are a point of contact for business inquiries, providing insights into the respective markets or industries and form an advisory network of experts to support the transfer of know-how and innovations.”
