More than 200 officials, policymakers, and experts from 20 European countries, Israel and the U.S., gathered this week for ELNET’s first high-level virtual summit on the ramifications of the recent International Criminal Court (ICC) decision to open an investigation against Israel.
ELNET took European ambassadors and diplomats on a strategic tour of Israel’s border with Lebanon.
Decision by the ICC Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, to open an investigation on issues pertaining to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, is deeply troubling and disappointing.
We are honored and grateful that The Genesis Prize Foundation recognized the importance of our work and awarded ELNET with a grant for its two flagship programs connecting Israeli and European leaders.
ELNET strongly believes that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is political in nature and it should be addressed predominantly with political rather than legal tools which force the parties to adopt rigid positions, making it more difficult to advance towards resolution of the conflict.
ELNET hosted 14 European ambassadors and senior diplomats on a strategic tour of Israel’s border with Gaza.
